PC crashes can happen for a variety of reasons - from hardware conflicts to software settings. You can try a few basic troubleshooting steps that often resolve the issue before submitting a ticket to our Support Team.
First off, please double-check if your PC meets Minimum Requirements to run the game.
Please note: if your PC doesn’t meet the game’s minimum requirements, we’re happy to suggest some troubleshooting steps - but we can’t guarantee the game will run correctly or at all. Performance and stability may vary on unsupported hardware.
Game File Integrity Verification
You launcher will check if any game files are corrupted or missing. You can get more information about these steps here:
Steam
Epic Games
Xbox App:
1. Open the Xbox app for Windows.
2. In My Library, select the game title.
3. Select the More options (…) button and choose Manage.
4. Select Files and then Verify and repair.
Temporarily disable overlays or other software
Steam/Discord overlays, GeForce Experience, MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner and any GPU monitoring tools.
Run as Administrator
Running your game as Administrator can sometimes help resolve launch or permission issues by giving it extra system access. Instructions here: How to run the Game as Administrator.

Instructions here: Updating GPU drivers (and how it can help)
Add the game/launcher to firewall & antivirus exceptions
Go to firewall/antivirus settings → add the game’s .exe file and launcher to the exception/allow list.
Instructions here: How to add the Game/Launcher to Firewall & Antivirus exceptions
Unplug any other devices
If you’re running into crashes, try unplugging extra devices like second monitors, controllers, racing wheels, VR headsets, USB hubs, or anything else you don’t need while playing - sometimes these can cause conflicts or instability.
Delete the game’s config / preferences files
It's called `futurplayerprefs` and can usually be found at:
C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\FuturLab\PowerWash Simulator\SaveData\Preferences
This can be useful with controls and settings related issues specifically. Please note it will reset your key bindings and in-game settings.
Install / Repair DirectX End‑User Runtime & Visual C++ Redistributables
This can help specifically for endless loading screen (black screen) and d3dx9_43.dll, d3d11.dll, MSVCR100.dll errors.
Instructions here: Install or Repair DirectX End‑User Runtime & Visual C++ Redistributables
Full re-installation of the game
If you're still experiencing issues, it might help to try reinstalling the game completely:
1. Make a back-up copy of a save if you wish to preserve your progress. (In some cases save file data can be corrupted and full deletion might be necessary.)
2. Delete the game and the folder here: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\LocalLow\FuturLab.
3. Re-install the game and the DLC.
