We’re aware that some players are running into issues with the barrier not opening in the Lost City Palace job. We’re looking into improvements, but in the meantime, here’s how the system works and what you can do to get inside the Palace.
To enter the Palace interior, all exterior tasks must be fully completed first. The barrier will only drop once the outside of the Palace is completely clean.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Some tasks, like Atrium Floor, continue inside the palace. You don’t need to finish these completely for the barrier to open.
- These tasks will show a white section in the progress bar, indicating the portion that can be completed from outside.
- You may also see some interior tasks unlock while cleaning near the barrier. You don’t need to finish these yet -they won’t stop the barrier from opening.
To double‑check your progress, use the task list, dirt highlight, and task pointer to find any remaining exterior dirt.
If you’re still stuck, try these tips:
- Clean around the barrier area thoroughly, using the red nozzle and most powerful washer you own, making sure you take care of the edges along the barrier and hard-to-reach areas around the entrance.
- Check your difficulty setting. Make sure you’re on Relaxed mode. If you already are, switch to Regular and then back to Relaxed, and try the task again.
- Reset subtasks in the options menu. This will re‑dirty incomplete tasks so you can wash them again, which may help the game register completion correctly.
